Carter is a Junior at the University of California, Berkeley, studying Molecular and Cell Biology (emphasizing in Immunology and Molecular Medicine) and Economics. He aspires to become a pediatric surgeon and eventually take on a public leadership role to drive meaningful change in healthcare policy. As an asthmatic himself, he’s excited to help expand understanding of the complex mysteries behind respiratory diseases. Outside of the library and lab, Carter enjoys restoring old boats, mountaineering, and discovering new places to get dessert.
